OZ, BLADE RUNNER and SAMURAI (1984, A GREAT YEAR)

I didnt listen to this bands in a very long time and just now i decided to get one album each of those bands from my vinyl collection and play them loud and proud.
First i played HUNTED by BLADE RUNNER. This band was part of the second wave of british heavy metal and played pure and pure heavy metal without that touch of heavy rock that most of the bands from the first NWOBHM had in their sound. I like their second album more, but this debut was a killer too.
Second is SAMURAI, again a band from the SECOND wave of the NWOBHM. SACRED BLADE was their debut and my fave. Realy love it very much. Pure heavy metal!!!!!!!!!!
and to end OZ from Finland, their III WARNING album (with killer songs like SAMURAI, TURN THE CROSS UPSIDE DOWN and THIRD WARNING).
All this 3 albums were from 1984 and this proof again that it was a great year. Still now in 2007 those albums sound increible good and you know why???? BECAUSE MUSIC FROM OUR MOVEMENT IS TIMELESS.

MEDIEVAL from the USA

I have their two vinyls, their mini lp MEDIEVAL from 1985 and MEDIEVAL KILLS from 1987 but even if they were with NRR records they never made it and today not many people talk about them.
They were also musicaly obscure and hard to find out what they were playing. For me they did a mix between PUNK, HARD ROCK and METAL.

THE ABSOLUTE POWER by MANOWAR.

MANOWAR, a band that many people love and others hate. If you are a metal maniac you like them of course because they are the KINGS OF METAL.
Back in 2005 the band gave a concert at their own EARTHSHAKER FESTIVAL playing many old songs (with old band members) and new songs (KING OF KINGS, HOUSE OF DEATH, WARRIORS OF THE WORLD UNITED) and together with a 200 men orquest they kicked and shook the earth.
What a great dvd. First dvd is the concert+historical moments and second dvd is filmed at a MANOWAR FAN CONVENCTION with fans from over 37 countries together for one reason, to fuck, drink and rock lol. Beside their is a making of.. of the special festival day.
A real buy or die release for all you maniacs!!!!!!!!!!!
